Carlos Dall'Asta is an Argentinian visual artist based in Athens with a Latin-American background. He holds a Master's Degree in Painting from the National University of Arts of Argentina, after graduating from the National Fine Arts School. His personal style is expressionism, with a focus on portraiture and the dynamics of the human figure.
His painting technique is grounded in strong, gestural marks. The preferential use of charcoal carries great significance — creating textures and evocative atmospheres at a thin line between the representative and the abstract.
Lately, within the world of stained glass, he develops original designs from his artistic perspective. Special light, shape and colour are present in his glassworks, lamps and mirrors.
As a tango dancer and teacher he is influenced by the movement and dynamics of artistic language, finding a parallelism between two so different disciplines: dance and visual art.
His artwork can be found in private collections in Argentina, the United States, Sweden, Germany and Greece.
