As a traditional painter, I like to draw throughout a deep observation feeling the charcoal in my hands and manage to create a dialogue between me and the soul of the person that inspire me. My aim is to create something unique, unrepeatable and eternal, as true art means.

Experience has not only taught me the importance of composition, tonal value and texture, but also the need for accuracy in every detail - vitally important for a commissioned portrait. The twinkle in the eyes or twist to a grin is what gives a portrait its visual and spiritual likeness and beauty.

The mixture of both charcoal and graphite pencil can produce an amazingly realistic and expressionism image. The exquisite simplicity that is being appreciated in the final art work is a product of a refined technique after many years of intense pursuit.
